Olympus Tough TG-810 Can Take on the Tough Elements

The TG-810 leads headlines Olympus’ lineup of rugged cameras with waterproof, shockproof, crushproof, freezeproof even scratch resistant characteristics.  It also sports a 14MP sensor, 5x optical zoom (28-140mm equivalent), 720p HD video capture and a nice 3-inch, 920k-dot resolution LCD.  Additionally, the TG-810 sports a GPS unit and electronic compass, which makes it even more of an outdoor-ready camera.  Buy an underwater housing for it and you may take it to 40 meters.

Here is a sneak peek into the soon to be release Olympus underwater camera housings for future models E-PL2 (ILC or mirrorless m4/3) and XZ1 (point and shoot).  I hope this time the lens port would be interchangeable, if you remember the previous Olympus released E-PL1 housing had a fixed port which limited the lens options you could bring on a dive.
