Review of Mayumi Resort Anilao

Perched on a hillside in the town of Bagalangit, Mabini, Batangas, Mayumi Resort offers divers a cozy and affordable place to base their Anilao dive vacations.  They have 3 accommodation types: Seaside, Ocean-view and Hillside, despite the differing titles, all are within a few steps from the ocean.  Rooms are airconditioned with heated showers.  Food is served a la carte with large portions.

I like:

• Rooms are well furnished 
• Peaceful isolated location 
• Relatively inexpensive 
• Meals come out cheaper a la carte
• Like most resorts in Anilao water and coffee are free

Didn't like:

• About 100 steps to the parking lot :) 
• Habagat (westerly winds) may be an issue for getting on a dive boat because the shoreline is facing west. 

Overall Mayumi like its name which translates to 'a modest female' is a pleasant, restful and quiet retreat from the hectic life in Manila.
